SCD TEAM MEMBERS
Matthew Wood, Chairman and Founder
Matthew founded SCD in 1998 and co-founded BioSyntropy Solutions in April 2003. He has been working in research, project implementation and consulting with EM since 1996. His work with EM has involved extensive travel to project sites and speaking engagements in over 15 countries. Matthew conducted research at EARTH College in Costa Rica and University of Missouri in Columbia, in association with the USDA-ARS. He completed a Master’s of Science Degree in the laboratory of Dr. Teruo Higa, a leader in Japanese probiotic technology, at University of Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan. |

Dr. Sivaram Pillai, CEO
Dr. Sivaramakrishna Pillai joined SCD, LLC in January 2007 and became the CEO in September of the same year. Previously, he worked with EID Parry Ltd. in India as the Vice President for their Bio Products division.
Dr. Pillai received his undergraduate degree at University of Poona, in India and his Master's degree and PhD from the University of Madras, India.
Sivaram is married with two daughters and currently resides in India for part of their year and in Kansas City, Missouri for the other part. |

Chris Lundine, Manager, Business Development
Christopher R. Lundine joined the SCD team in January, 2008. Chris brings with him thirteen years of sales experience and a diverse business background. He has been a successful sales executive as well as a successful business developer. Chris strengths are in sales, business development, team building, branding, marketing, capital management, and finance.

Dr. Narin Tipsrisukond, Senior Manager, Research & Manufacturing
Narin is responsible for research, product development and production for all microbial products sold by SCD. Prior to joining BioSyntropy Solutions, he was a research specialist at the Agricultural Experiment Station Chemical Laboratory, a USDA registered laboratory and a Missouri State Chemistry Laboratory. His research emphasized instrumental and chemical analyses, industrial microbiology, correlation of objective biological and chemical data to analytical and consumer sensory characteristic. Narin earned his doctoral degree in Food chemistry and technology from University of Missouri-Columbia. He has been with BioSyntropy Solutions since August 2003. |

Larry Doyle, Senior Manager, Operations
Larry is responsible for the overall production, warehousing and inventory of SCD products. He joined the team in October 2007 and brings with him 30 years experience in food processing. He received his undergraduate degree in Food Industry from the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana. Larry and his wife Phyllis have 4 grown children and have lived in Kansas City area since 1991. On weekends you will find him kayaking, gardening or restoring antique clocks. |

Michael Snyder, Manager, Operations
Michael is responsible for production and warehouse operations. He also supports customers’ technical, fermentation and application needs. Michael has been involved with large and small scale fermentation in the brewing industry for over 10 years. He is a graduate of The Seibel Institute of Technology’s Brewing program and holds a bachelors degree from Georgia State University. Michael has served as President of the Kansas City Brewers Guild from 1998 – 2005 and continues to provide sanitation, process and quality control consulting for brewing operations. He joined BioSyntropy Solutions in August 2005. |

Sonya Richards, Account Manager and Executive Admin. Assistant
Sonya works as the assistant to Matthew Wood, the Founder and Chairman of SCD. She also is an Account Manager and the Executive Admin. Assistant. Before joining the SCD staff in September, 2004, Sonya was in the Army for 15 years working in a Psychological Intelligence Operations, and then worked as a Special Education teacher for 2 years. Sonya attended Kee Business College in Newport News Virginia, graduating in 1999. She is the mother of two girls. Sonya is soon to be a published author.

Abbie Velker, International Shipping Liaison
Abbie joined the SCD team in 2005 as a Customer Service Representative. She quickly moved up to the position she currently holds as an Account Manager. Abbie graduated from the University of Missouri in 2004 with the degree in Sociology and Family Studies. Abbie has always had a concern about the community and environment which lead her to SCD. |

Janel Voth, Senior Scientific Support and Head of Regulatory Compliance
Janel Voth is the Senior Support and also Head of the Regulatory Compliance - Elect. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. Her responsibilities include Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control, Third party laboratory monitoring, in-house laboratory experiments, Product Development, Technical Support and Account Management. She works directly under Dr. Narin Tipsrisukond, Senior Manager, Research and Quality Control. |

Barbara Warman, Accounting
Barbara joined SCD team in February of 2007. Although her title says she is the Accounting Assistant, she helps in the other areas of the company including, but not limited to manufacturing, administration and human resources.
Barbara attended school and graduated from Liberty Missouri and has an accounting background. She is the married mother of two grown children.

Caleb Johnsen, Senior Project Associate
Caleb Johnsen originally was hired as a contract project associate, primarily working with the web development team. Caleb has since become a full time member of SCD organizing new projects, implementing web development and strategy, as well as maintaining the internal IT infrastructure at SCD. Caleb comes from the DeVry University graduating class of 2005 with the degree in Information Systems. Currently Caleb is pursuing his masters’ degree in project and program management at Keller University of Kansas City.

Lani Viacrusis, Customer Service Representative
Lani joined SCD last April 9, 2007 as a Customer Service Representative. She is responsible for taking incoming phone calls and provides information in response to inquiries about products, services, and application of products. In addition Lani is also a part of the web development team to ensure and maintain the integrity of our websites. Prior to SCD, Lani spent over five years as a teacher, ESL instructor and contracting officer in a travel agency. Lani graduated from St. Peter’s College with a BS in Secondary Education.

Julius Rodriguez, Webmaster
Julius joined SCD, LLC in August 2007. He contributes largely to web operations, graphic design and database management. Julius also takes part in the strategic positioning of SCD on the internet. Julius graduated at University of Cebu, Philippines with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Desktop and Web application. Previously he was with ABS International Corporation for two years as a Production Assistant.

Wesley Elliott, Production Assistant
Wesley joined the SCD team in January 2007 accepting the position of Shipping and receiving Clerk. Wes has currently moved up to the position of Production Assistant. Wesley attended Kansas State University in 1973. He is the father of four children and eight grandchildren.

Ryan Davis, Process Specialist
Ryan graduated from the University of Kansas in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology. In the summer of 2006 he took part in a study that investigated norepinephrine levels in children with Autism. The study showed a positive correlation between norepinephrine secretions stimulated by interactive media and children with various degrees of autism. In February of 2007 he was brought into the SCD family to become the process specialist for the company. Ryan is responsible for post fermentation processes, including decanting, filtration, pasteurization and bottling of SCD probiotic products. In addition, he is responsible for quality assurance and quality control procedures following NSF International GMP certification program requirements. Ryan’s hobbies include playing guitar in the band “Device” and enjoying a relaxing game of golf every now and then.
